Gallardo has only gotten through six innings once this season and has no quality starts out of six. He hasn't really been that impressive overall especially on the road, but has done pretty well in his career at Animal Supplies and Services Retailer Park. However, the combination of Kemp, Wallace and Solarte have four home runs and 11 RBI against Gallardo and all have good to very good BA against him. Could be trouble.

Friedrich has pitched pretty well overall for the Padres this season with four quality starts in his first six starts of the season beginning on May 13th. However, he has llowed 10 runs in his last two starts of 11 IP including six walks and three home runs. Walks are by far Friedrich's biggest issue. He will face the Orioles for the first time and has not pitched well at Animal Supplies and Services Retailer Park.

Johnson apparently didn't learn much as he still pitched in the middle of the plate all night and still got hammered just like last time. It's gotta be easy to hit when pitchers are throwing stuff down the middle all night long and yet, the Orioles bullpen still allowed six runs in the last three innings. The second half will be the true test for this team, but the M's and Dodgers may not be so easy. Jimenez now has back to back good starts, but they were against the Padres which kind of cancels out in a way.

Friedrich has been a decent arm this year aside from his last two starts and Gallardo is teetering on the brink of getting hammered all the time it seems, so this is a toss up for me.

In the East, Boston hammered the Rays yesterday and after Pedroia kind of went off on E-Rod on the mound in that game, maybe Boston is about to get hot again. They are currently 4.5 back, but are being dominated by Matt Moore and are down 4-0 in the seventh inning today. Toronto is 5.5 back and the Yankees have lost three in a row and are down nine games, but only 3.5 out of the WC spot. It remains to be seen whether or not the Yankees will be sellers at the deadline. The Indians have won 11 in a row now as they are currently in Atlanta and KC has fallen six back. I think the Indians are to the Central what the Rangers are to the West. Texas has won four in a row and are 10 up on Houston who are tearing it up still having won nine of 10. I believe Houston is very underrated right now due to their record, but should be in the conversation for one of the best teams in the AL right now. They are 24-9 starting with their sweep of the Orioles on May 24th and are absolutely on fire. Meanwhile, the Mariners seem to be coming out of their slump as they took two from the second place Cardinals and are one game up on the Pirates in their two game series. The M's might give us some trouble.
