I saw the stats of this guy while watching the blowout today verses Oakland. Very impressed with his stats this year at Bowie and with his years in the Cuban league...any chance we bring him up this year? He's not exactly a youngster and should be given a chance in the big leagues.

I like him as my Chen replacement. Next year.

Hard to judge Cuban talent. Is he AA or AAA or ML ready? Next year to replace Chen might be too soon. Certainly a spring training invite.

I saw him handle Ryan Zimmerman with ease. But you are right, you never know until you see them with the big club.

This was only a 7-inning game, hence part of the reason for removing Miranda after 4.33 innings instead of letting him at least finish 5.

Miranda gave up 4 runs in the 2nd inning, but hung in there to complete 6.

3 walks and a mediocre strikes-to-balls ratio were the only downsides to this outing.

Other than that, it was exemplary. Miranda knocked almost a full run off of his 2016 ERA (4.29 to 3.33.)
