Gausman put up a 4.50 in Seattle and allowed another two home runs one of which coughed up the lead immediately after the offense got it. He has been a bad road pitcher this season with nine of his 14 home runs coming in away games. He has allowed a home run in four of the last five games and the one he didn't was against the Rays. There's just no telling what the Orioles will get from him against this hot Dodgers team.

Norris has not allowed a home run since April 27th which is pretty amazing considering he has pitched 53.2 innings since then. He also hasn't given up a run in his last two starts totaling 13 IP and allowed only six hits and one walk while striking out 16. He has been very good since being put back in the rotation in June while with the Braves and has been dominant in two starts this season at Dodgers Stadium.

Tillman came up big after giving up the first inning run throwing six more innings without giving up another and the difference in the game was one bad pitch from Maeda to Machado that almost landed on the roof of the seats out in left field. Both streaks are snapped and the rubber game tomorrow is an afternoon game.

Norris has been very good and I can see him continuing that against his former team while Gausman has been better over his last two starts and will look to continue that in this game as the series win is up for grabs here.

Boston lost to Texas today putting them three back, but Toronto won their fourth in a row and sit 2.5 back of the Orioles and the Yankees won big over the White Sox today. Cleveland is going strong again having won their second in a row as they crushed the Tigers 12-1 tonight which makes the Indians and Twins the only teams in the division to win today. Houston beat Seattle again for their second in a row and sit 7.5 back of the Rangers and a half game out of the WC spot.

Leaving my mother's house a bit after noon. About a 7 hour drive home. Hope to get in radio range for this one by game time or shortly thereafter.

I would have been very satisfied with a 5-4 road trip. We're not gonna make that, but 4-5 wouldn't be too awful.

In contrast to his low opinion of O's pitching Monday, Vin was duly impressed by Brach and Britton last night. In case anyone wants to hear, I recorded his call of the bottom of the 9th.
