</b>

Worley had a rough June before his injury and it spilled over a bit into July. He has allowed eight runs on 19 hits and six walks in his last 14.1 IP, but his last 3.2 IP were scoreless with no walks and only two hits. He made two starts in April and allowed six earned in 10.2 IP. Worley has never pitched at Yankee Stadium and has only one relief appearance in his career against the Yankees.

Nathan Eovaldi

(7-6)

5.11 (1.38/.269)

81K / 32BB, 19HR

QS: 5

Eovaldi had been pitching pretty well through the first two months of the season and finished May with a 3.71 ERA, but tumbled in June to a 8.65 ERA and another bad start to start July which prompted his demotion to the bullpen. He has pitched 7.2 innings out of the pen since then and has allowed only three hits, but also five walks including 4.1 shutout innings against the Indians allowing only one hit and three walks. Suffice to say, walks are, at times, a problem for Eovaldi. He will be making his return to the rotation here in the midst of a possible trade brewing that would send him to the Pirates.

Well, Gausman pitched "just well enough to lose" again, but he did pitch well though it is another tally in favor of the opinion that he pitches better from behind than he does with the lead or in a tie game. However, Nova outpitched him with a very strong six innings and gave it over to perhaps the best back end in baseball in Bettances, Miller and Chapman and that's all she wrote as the Orioles drop their second straight game.

Worley could go either way as usual and will be in new territory pitching in this ballpark and against this team for the most part while Eovaldi wil be making his return to the rotation after struggling himself right into the bullpen. He has done very well out of the pen and has earned his way back to the rotation. There have been talks about being trade to Pittsburgh, but only rumor and whispers at this point. Eovaldi has not done well against the Orioles or at home this season, but he is being given the chance to start again and will look to get back to his April/May form.

Boston and Toronto had off days today, but both gain a half game after tonight's loss to the Yankees. The Tigers beat the Twins 1-0, Cleveland is up 2-0 on KC in the sixth and Houston, Texas, Chicago and Seattle all yet to play their game.

Just doing this again to put the right date in the title since no one changed the date in the other title.
