What Would You Give Up To Acquire Sale?

I'm thinking big and I'm thinking championship. I honestly would go for broke this year. The hell with 3 years from now. I'm not interested in getting a middle of the road pitcher. Let's go out and get a stud and become the favorites to represent the AL in the World Series.

I think I would give up possibly the top 3 prospects we have to get Sale, if that what it takes.

For Sale, I would give up all 3 top prospect in the MIL.

Toss in free crab cakes from Phillips for as long as he is an Oriole.

Our farm system is that bad? I might toss in Bundy or Givens.

It would require Schoop and Bundy or Gausman plus top 3 prospects.

Could Schoop + Mancini + Cisco + Peralta + Scott would get you Sale? I think so.

Schoop is the only chip we could offer (minus Manny) that would get us Sale. I don't think I would do that.

Sale has an ERA of 4.5 the last two months.

It would require Schoop and Bundy or Gausman plus top 3 prospects.

I am not giving up a SP, a starting 2b and 3 top.

Sale has three more years of control. He helps us this year but also prolongs the window. I do believe I would give up Bundy and their pick of 3-4 guys in the system other than Harvey. Something along the lines of Bundy/Cisco/Scott/Hess. They could also have Chaz Roe and/or Ubaldo plus cash.

Sale would bridge the gap for us until the arrival of Harvey and Sedlock.

Sale-Tillman-Gausman-Gallardo could be an excellent top 4 for the forseeable future. 3+ years of Sale for 5 years of Bundy and some other guys seems like an eminently fair deal. Only question is whether it would be enough.

Higher ceiling than top-5 Cy Young candidate? The only step above that '96-'99 Pedro Martinez.

Bundy could end up doing very well...but he could also blow out his elbow or shoulder and end up as the next Matt Hobgood. Even if he has a higher ceiling, he has a much, much lower floor.
