</b>

Gausman has not allowed a run in four of the last five starts and has not allowed a home run since August 18th against Houston. He's really kicked it up into a new gear here in the second half and pitched perhaps the best game of his career to this point against Boston. Can he repeat it here? Several Boston hitters still have good career numbers against him, so we shall see.

Eduardo Rodriguez

Rodriguez has average numbers against the Orioles, but in three starts this year, two were very good and the other was during his disastrous month of June which he finished with a 10.03 ERA which his ERA continues to suffer from now. He followed that up with a 3.06 in July, 3.33 in August and a 3.31 so far in September. He has flirted with a no hitter in two of the last five starts as well. He had to leave the last game against the Orioles with a muscle tightness in his hammy I believe it was after throwing four no hit innings with seven strikeouts and he threw 7.2 hitless innings against Oakland three starts ago. His last start was a bad one, though. He allowed four runs on eight hits in 2.1 innings against the Yankees. His good has far outweighed the bad since July. He is also very good at Camden Yards in four starts practically dominating the Orioles with no home runs allowed.

Bundy wasn't sharp yet again and surrendered five runs to the Red Sox and couldn't get through the fifth inning. He really wasn't a good choice in this game against Porcello who was masterful once again this time going the distance allowing two runs and needing only 89 pitches to do it. Boston's bullpen gets the day off as the Orioles drop game one of this four game series.

Gausman has really had the adrenaline going lately and has been about as good as can be expected. He just shut out the Red Sox at Fenway for eight innings in his last start. Meanwhile, Rodriguez was no hitting the Orioles through four innings before having to leave the game with hamstring tightness. He has been dominating at Camden Yards in four starts. Should be a good one.

Houston, Toronto and Seattle all play late games, so the standings will be updated later.
