Ubaldo Jimenez

(7-12)

5.71 (1.61/.276)

120K / 69BB, 16HR

QS: 6

</b>

Jimenez is still going well, but I didn't much like how he looked against Boston which was more like his usual self with four walks in 5.1 innings. It's the first time he has not completed six innings since he got on a roll. Toronto has hit him well over his career and he has absolutely terrible numbers at Canadian Telecommunications and Media Company Centre.

Marcus Stroman

(9-9)

4.34 (1.28/.262)

163K / 52BB, 21HR

QS: 4

Stroman really struggled badly over the first three months of the season, but has gotten it together in these last three months especially the last two. He put up a 3.13 ERA in August and a 3.00 in September and hasn't allowed more than three earned all month and only once in the last two months. However, he was pounded by the Orioles in two June starts allowing 11 runs on 18 hits and a walk in nine innings of work. They were both in June and in the midst of Stroman's struggles, so let's see if the outcome is any different this time around.

Tillman allowed two runs in 5.2 innings as he is once again unable to get through six innings. He still did not look good velocity or command wise, but had the change up working just well enough to keep Toronto off balance. It could have been much worse and one run was unearned. Liriano continues pitching like he has for the last three years for the Pirates as he lowers his ERA to 2.92 since joining Toronto 10 starts ago. Liriano has been a very good #2 starter over his tenure with Pittsburgh and he is pitching like it once again after a rough 21 starts with the Pirates this season. He allowed six hits in 6.1 innings with only one walk and 10 strikeouts. Benchwarmer Kim gets the big two run homer against Osuna who pitched him in the only place he has hit home runs; down and in fastball. Just a terrible pitch and Kim made the best of it. The Orioles pull one out of their rears again after playing a terrible seven innings before that. That's two of the last three games Kim has won with his bat that would have been losses otherwise and he's still on the bench most nights and the last to be used.

Both Jimenez and Stroman have been pitching well lately though Stroman has been better for longer after a rough start to the season. Those numbers in this ballpark for Jimenez are really bad.
