Cindy, I'm sorry you had to be the one to take the brunt of this. You deserve better. I'm glad we got this all sorted out in the end. Hang in there.

Tony, did you check to see that Sun was hacking? If so, great job. If not, we may be jumping to conclusions a bit.

Are you guys positive about this? Because I've talked to him on AIM a few times, he's like 17 years old. I'm not trying to be naive about it, but he doesn't seem like the hacker type. Maybe he's a little overzealous about rep points. I don't know, I'm not trying to step on any toes, but did Southernbird actually see that he hacked her account or are you guys just assuming? But then again from what he was telling me, he did know an awful lot about the way the rep points worked(knew how many points you got from people with certain numbers of blips, knew how many rep points you could give in 24 hours, etc). I don't know...it's kind of scary I guess. Maybe he's not 17 years old.

Very strange indeed. The rep points are a great idea and they usually match up to the opinion most people have of the poster. But with Sun, I had no idea why he had so many rep points in a short period because his posts werent bringing anything new to the table. Glad this is fixed and hopefully people dont abuse the system in the future.

Yeah, it does seem that he may have exposed himself by trying to take advantage of the brief hysteria with the rep points.

Trust us, we know who this guy is. Anyone remember hardballs???? NYoriolesfan??? And about 20 other names we had to ban. If you have a way to get a hold of him you may want to tell him to stay away or risk further penalty under anti-hacking laws.

But he also told me before that he was going into 11th grade, which unless he's channeling Neil Patrick Harris...that would make him older than 14. I don't know what to believe, it's kind of weird. And I'm not sure how his neighbor has the same IP address, unless there's no firewall and one of them is pirating it from the other. But I trust you guys to make the right decision. It's just too creepy, cause either he's slipping up right now about the age thing or he lied about it to begin with. Oh well you guys do what you think's best, I just thought I'd share that with you.
