I just gave a customer a demo on a Phil Collins DVD. We both purchased the sound system and the DVD with a sense of urgency; I am now told by my boss that I make way too much money. C'est la vie.

Definitive Technology --- 7002 ST fronts x 2, 2200 CLR center, PM 1000 rears x 2, and a Pioneer Elite 92 amp, coupled with a Super Cube III. I love the employee discount!

Herbie Hancock - River (the Joni Letters)

The first jazz album to win the Grammy for Album of the Year since Getz/Gilberto in 1964. Actually hadn't gotten around to giving it a listen until yesterday even though I bought it a few months ago, but it's really worth a go.

I'm listening to one I burnt for myself. It's a real eclectic mix... a lot I've posted in my music thread, but there's some stone jams on it. Bowie, Rage, old Hip Hop, Trower, Tubes, Toadies, Oasis, Rare Earth, James Gang, whole bunch more.

The Stills new album, Oceans Will Rise. It's OK so far. The Stills definitely aren't in my top tier of bands, but their last album was actually really solid.

I just stumbled upon Neutral Milk Hotel, and have been listening to In The Aeroplane Over The Sea. I dunno if anyone else is into them, or how I missed them at all, but I'm enthralled right now.

Classic. I listened to that album non-stop while I wrote most of the best stuff I've ever written.

Seriously? Wow... talk about me stumbling upon a great thing 10-years afterwards. It's easily one of the 10 best albums I've heard in my life.

S'ok. I answered my own question.

The Elephant 6 Recording Company (or simply Elephant 6) is a collective of American musicians who spawned some of the most notable independent bands of the 1990s, including The Apples in Stereo, The Olivia Tremor Control, Neutral Milk Hotel, and Of Montreal.[1]
I do like me some Apples in Stereo.
