Autumn always makes me want to listen to Van Morrison's album "A Sense Of Wonder"....I think all of the autumn colours referenced in the title track does it.....His cover of Ray Charles' "What Would I Do" is also what draws me back to the album regardless of the season.

Hey Chris! I didn't purchase it yet, but am planning on doing so this weekend. To be honest, the only song I heard was "The Grey Man" on their MySpace page. I see now they have two other songs there. I'll have to give them a listen later. But I do like "The Grey Man". I wasn't a big fan of "Eat Sleep Repeat" except for a couple of songs. But this new single sounds more like their older stuff which is a good thing. So what do you think of the new album? Are you going to see them on tour? They're in Philadelphia on Friday 10/24, but it's at 9 PM and I may run a race the next morning. Lights and Lydia are opening which is almost as exciting as Copeland headlining!

Well honestly, I think the sound of this album is much closer to ESR than the other two previous releases. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but I do happen to prefer the more "rock" sound of the previous albums. "No One Really Wins" is my favorite song by Copeland, and you certainly aren't going to find anything like that on You Are My Sunshine. I will say the variety of the instrumentation on YAMS is by far the album's biggest selling point.
Anyway, I was thinking about going to the show at the Recher on the 23rd but haven't made up my mind yet. I've already seen Copeland twice before, and I have a kickball game at 9 that night. I would really like to see Lydia though. We'll see.
Let me know what you think of the album whenever you pick it up!
