Timing all this together... Scotty Moore's country-rockin' inspired Waymore in '67ish... as damn much as a WHOLE lot more other country and Rocker guitarists!

The guy like three posts above, or three pages above.... the blondies playing AND singing the bluesy part of Jesus is Just Alright, with the Doobies. I think he played with Steely Dan too... I saw him once on TV...

It was on some PBS History of Rock 'n' Roll show... He talked about Scotty Moore... para-quoting "Scotty Moore was a PURE country picker. But he ROCKED it, man! He gave it that edge!"

    Scotty and Elvis.

With the acient Fender re-re-re-verb amp.

Yes... Elvis was a force! Cult of Personality.

And in this particular vid, Bill Black shows he's no slouch!

But Scotty drives the song, especially with the lead! Early new year '56, I can only imagine how this recording affected the young masses, both white and black! Young and even old. This song RAWKS... like no other before it ever did.

It's like the seminal nudge to this...

ANOTHER pscyho-delically-painted guitar! This one Jimmy's psychedelically-painted Tele...

EDIT: And that would be like all cooler and more colorful if that clip wasn't black and white... and ****.

And pathetically riffing off my own damn self...

    Scotty playing a C chord in that picture! C 7th maybe... C sus4

    All those crap A / C / G / frickin' F...... chords those country guys love...

You want me to spend $50+ on a damn capo???

    It's a guitar! E!

And A! And D and B and all those other easy chords available! G.

Country, G, B, C, is more geared to the damn piano! Us Rock Git players HATE those frickin' chords!

And C, B and G can ALL work... on their own. Each. In their own.

Sweetly with all the rock chords.

    Just sayin'...

I understand your point. I also am at an age, that those reminders of mortality occaisionally cause me to pause to remember the time and place for me that the deceased artist had relevance.

    I wasn't being critical.

I am not nostalgic as a rule.

Watching again tonight... this scene reminds me of the below. Similar time period... The guitars in Sheryl's holds up too. Her's is a lot happier song anyways...
