    Hang On For The Ride

I have given you all some pretty good information ala, Duquette well before it came to pass, also major coaching changes before they were made, thus hang-in O's faithful fans as this new organization is going to "knock your socks off" after the World Series. Look for two major free agent signings, two surprising multi-year deals which will lead to a blockbuster trade. As the title says "hang on for the ride" as the O's view this next year as their best chance in years to overtake the Yankees and Red Sox. This new group, also, after next season is more concerned with the Jays and D-rays.Both teams will be very good with owners willing to spend money on pitching.

Wild Bill, can you elaborate any more? When you say 2 multi year deals leading to a trade, do you mean that two of our current players will be signed and then traded?

Thing about free agents is you can always end up in a bidding war and lose.

Don't look a Gift Horse in the Mouth.

I, like most others on this board, love the insights that Wild Bill gives us before they actually happen.

Thanks again Wild Bill and keep the reports coming... please.

SG, from what I hear out here Kotchman is not going anywhere. Even if the Angels sign Konerko.

    exciting

This has already been the most amazing Hot Stove season in recent memory, and the first game of the World Series has yet to begin!

    Wild Ride, indeed.

I think what you said about the Sox and MFY's is right on target. Both of those teams are getting old and are sucking up salary by the ton.

The Jays are making moves in the right direction as well, but may not be ready to charge to the top of the East just yet.

Let's make 2006 the Year of the Orioles. (corny, I know, but I'm very excited....)

Hopefully we do not sign him...He will get a ridiculous contract and he is not that good.

    Ok.

    This is exciting, isn't it?

The latest version of the Sun Mazzone coverage (9:59 pm Thursday) quotes PGA:

"It was a very pleasing day," said Angelos, who also officially hired former New York Mets executive Jim Duquette as Vice President on Thursday. "I think the additions are being made that will help to get the Orioles to the level that everyone is not only asking for, but insisting upon. We are sympathetic to that viewpoint."

Sounds consistent with Wild Bill's optimism...

WB was right in reality. Flanny is the figurehead with the title. Duke does the work.
