I just saw one for the first time today (three or so times). Some five hour energy drink that doesn't CRASH like traditional energy drinks! Wow I hate that commercial.

On the other side of the spectrum, I really like the newish Verizon commercial when the guy says "And what did dad get? Dad got hosed." That gets me laughing every time.

I'm almost ready to stop watching sports altogether so I don't have to hear John Mellancamp sing that awful Chevy truck song. That song is so patronizing, mediocre and a outright attempt to pander for money that I can't believe Mellancamp has slipped so far.

I mean, my rear end could come up with more sophisticated lyrics than "from the East Coast, to the West Coast, to the Dixie Highway back home, this is our country."

On my other side of the spectrum, I have to go with those NFL fake-press conference commercials. Those things are hilarious. I especially like the one with Dick Vermeil.

"You know what? They're right sometimes. More often than not they're right."

"A lot of guys might not've reversed that."

Agreed. Plus they managed to work in the old "PLAYOFFS?!!?" line too.

Oh my God, I was waiting for that one - I mean, it's the most famous coach-centered press conference of all time, it was bound to happen eventually.. I'm so glad they finally worked it in, even if it isn't as funny as the Vermiel and Walsh ones.

I love those commercials. I'm waiting for the Denny Green one.

I despise the new Dodge commercial with the two robots throwing punches, and one of them going outside beating up on the New Dodge Truck until it's head pops off.

They must have showed this commercial 1000 times during the BCS National Championship last night.

What? How can you despise the Rock-'Em Sock-'Em Robots? That's a blast from the past.

Next I want to see someone work the Hungry Hungry Hippos into a commercial.

That Olive Garden commercial where that woman is telling the waitress, "I'm looking for my date! He's very handsome and his shoes are probably untied!" Surprise! It's her toddler, sitting with her husband! Every time I see it, I hope that I'm watching an alternative version where the waitress decks that woman at the end.

How about the one where the guy installs the rubber floors in his house?

And then at the end the dog goes flying because of "too much bounce!" Har har har!!!

Then there's the Art Institute Commericals. Can you draw a cartoon turtle's head? *This one has been around for years and still blow my mind.

Blue Hippo actually has several pending class actions against it and I believe it is also being investigated by the FTC and the State of Maryland. It is, unfortunately, a Baltimore company.

It is a shame that more people don't immediately think what you thought upon seeing that commercial, because Blue Hippo has managed to snag thousands of people in its scam. You have to pay something like six or seven hundred dollars worth of monthly payments before they'll even send you a computer, and then you won't own it until your payments total something like $2500. Their computers are garbage, too, probably worth about 800 bucks, tops. The best part is that for a while, if you cancelled you didn't get any of your money refunded. Then they changed it so that you could get a refund but were charged a $175 early termination fee.

They are one of the worst of the worst companies around. /rant

The McDonald's commercial where the two guys are having a staring match to see who buys...then do rock, paper, scissors for the last french fry...is really getting irritating. I believe I see that commercial about 10 times every evening lately.

Ok... I'm sick of the Room Store commercials. I guess that girl is supposed to be spunky, clever, and your "friend" helping you save money.

But I just find her annoying. VERY annoying. I was able to ignore her for the first series of ads, but now that there's a new round, I had to rant. Ugh.

I think McDonald's is trying to make the most annoying commericals around. The one I hate is the "Dollar Menuaries."
The one where the dingy looking guy says "These people live like money grows on trees. Trees they can't find."
Very funny. I hope I can't find it again.

I was just about to mention that commercial. Ugh--it's so bad. What is even supposed to be? Is it parodying something? And what does that trees joke even mean?
