I can't stand the Meinike (spelled wrong, yeah I know) commercial where the guy asks his mom/dad to pick his bride. That guy's voice just drives me up the wall. Ugh ugh ugh.

Hopefully this commercial will end now that President's Day has passed, but the car commercial that uses "Hail to the Chief" (and gives it a sort of "jock jams" beat) is pretty obnoxious.

Agreed, but I still saw it Wednesday...hopefully either the sale was 'extended' or...*shutter* they're getting a jump on next year's sale.

YES! I so wanted to vent about this one (just ask Witchy), but I didn't want to double post in this thread, back-to-back.

The sale did get extended. Let's hope it finally does disappear Feb. 28. What makes it worse is that EVERY GM(?) brand is usingthe same format. So that same stupid song comes up for Saturn.... and Buick.... and, and, and.

    /sigh

I don't know if this one has already been posted but it's I believe a commercial for Air Wick Fresheners with the female elephant talking about her centipede husband's stinky feet. I don't necessarily hate the commericial although it is kind of stupid, but what sense does it make to have an elephant marry a centipede?

But my voice is naturally low as it is, so Eeyore isn't a stretch, and I'm similar looking to Michael McDonald (who does Stewart) so maybe the similar body structure helps me imitate the voice easier.

    That was a nice aside.
    I certainly enjoyed it.

I pull a Stewart on my wife when she says, "Can you run the trash out when you get a chance?" I slowly lay down on the floor, put my foot up toward her, and whisper-squeal, "I don't wanna...noooo...noooo...."

I thought I was the only one who appreciates Michael McDonald's humor.

    B) sitting in the parking lot with their seat belts on while the car isn't running

Either way, it just doesn't work.
I thought these commercials were a little off, too, but this thread clued me into something I didn't know: Sonics (at least some of them) have car-hop service. So it makes sense for the people to be sitting in their cars.

This just in... in an ironic, patriotic twist of fate, GM has extended those President's Day car ads (Hail to the Chief) until July 4th!

Just kidding. Hopefully, now that we're past February 28th, those ads are gone for good.

I hate the College Gameday ad. The one where Rece Davis, Bilas, Hubert Davis and Digger Phelps go into this kid's dorm room and say that they're rooming with him.

The kid looks like he's 14, the conceit of the ad is stupid, and Bilas went to Duke. 'NUFF SAID!

Well, I did see it last night (Feb. 28). I honestly wouldn't be shocked if it was on again today.

don't know if this has been brought up before , but I'm sure I'm not the only one who has been annoyed by ESPN's Monday Night football promos. "Is it Monday yet?". They act like Monday's game is the most important thing of the week despite the fact that all the other good games that week were already played the day before. Like I'm supposed to get hyped up for a sub-par matchup between the Seattle Seahawks and the Oakland Raiders on "Monday Night" which according to ESPN commercials is the most special day of the week?

Same for "ESPN MLS"..."You like this game , you just don't know it". No. I don't like soccer , and stop telling me I do.

I'm getting pretty pissed at ESPN pimping Arena "Football" highlights as though it's an actual sport that actual people care about.

OK, we get it, guys. ESPN is an A"F"L sponsor, so they get shown on SportsCenter. Stop treating us like we're stupid.

Many of the commercials ESPN has anger me , but especially the 2 I stated above. The one that confuses me is the PBA one(Sundays are for bowling? Sundays are for football!).

ESPN has good NASCAR commercials though , and the Sportscenter ones are always classic. Carmelo and the headband...
