This happened two days ago at work ... layout of the bathroom is: doorway -> urinal -> regular stall -> handicapped stall. I always go for the extra legroom if both stalls are open. So the other day I walk into the bathroom, see both stall doors open, and start to walk toward the last stall. As I reach the mid-point of where the two stalls meet, I see pants on the floor, a hairy leg, and a conveniently placed book. I stopped dead in my tracks, whirled around, and walked back out of the bathroom without pausing.

Who sits and reads on a toilet at work WITHOUT CLOSING THE STALL DOOR?!

I hesistate to think how much worse it would have been if he hadn't been reading ...

On Friday while I was in the bathroom washing my hands, I could notice in the mirror that something wasn't right in the one stall. By seeing the way things were positioned on the floor I could tell that this guy had taken off his pants and shoes while making bears (rep to anyone who guesses the making bears ref)! To top it off in the afternoon I saw him in there again doing the same thing!! Who needs that much freedom on the crapper?

After almost a year laying off the stuff, I'm back on coffee. Since it takes my innards a little while to adjust, look out office bathroom!

I didn't realize that coffee could affect someone like that. I find that interesting. Does tea do the same thing?

Not a big tea guy. A few cups o' joe, though and it's to the commode!

*and for those rare times in college where I had a UMD dining hall breakfast with coffee, well, let's just say I didn't make many plans on those days...

How can someone sit on a toilet and take a nap? Judgeing by the breathing coming from the next stall that is exactly what the guy was doing.

I knew a co-worker at my old job that did that just to get away from working. People think he's dumping it, so nobody bothers him.

There's several guys on my floor that gets one of those tissue toilet liners before going in there to do their business. I have to question the manhood of a guy that needs a tissue liner.

This is a question from long ago, but since the thread was bumped: Yes. Caffeine is a diuretic.

I made this mistake all the time until someone clarified it for me: a diuretic is something that makes you urinate, a laxative is something that either induces a bowel movement or loosens your stool.

Coffee is a diuretic because of caffeine. It makes everyone pee. Its effect as a laxative on specific people is kind of debated. Warmness of the liquid, irritation of the stomach due to specific enzyme, etc, etc......whatever it is normally works on me....often at the office.

Ah. You're correct. This seems to be a common mistake, at least.

Coffee doesn't actually seem to be a diuretic, though (with the updated, er, correct definition). I don't think it has a different effect than any other fluid, at least not among those that are predominantly water. But that's not really the subject of discussion here so I will let that go.

    4 stalls.

I'm in Stall A, closest to the door. B, C, and D are unoccupied. Someone comes rushing in and immediately goes into none other then Stall B.

Awkwardness ensues for the next five minutes. Isn't it a general rule to leave a stall in between if another is open?

    C'mon man.

Well to be fair, your mistake was choosing the stall closest to the entrance. Always, ALWAYS go for the stall furthest from the door.

    C'mon man. That's Bathroom 101 right there.
