Feeling better (or at least not-numb) yet?

Jaw is worse but I have enough range of motion to get utensils in and eat, so it's not a big deal.

Yes, the numbness appears to be almost gone, though my sense of taste is a little dull. Thank goodness! It's brought some mild gum aching, but barely worth mentioning at this point.

It's time for another Short Rants installment of twoBshorty's Wisdom Teeth Diary!

1:30 PM, day 2: Still haven't had to touch the Percocet, but for some reason I feel like I'm going to puke anyway. I slept 13 hours and while I'm not in pain, I don't feel that great. The lower left side is still bleeding on and off and I think it's putting a bad taste in my mouth, because everything tastes AWFUL. I brushed my teeth for the first time and even though I was really careful in the back, there was still some bleeding and now I'm afraid I'm going to get dry socket. But ugh, that metallic taste. I need to drink something but everything that goes down tastes like that and just the thought of it makes me gag.

Edit: More gauze and brushing my tongue helped. I thought too much NSAIDs could be upsetting my stomach and increasing bleeding so I dropped the Advil and am on Tylenol only and it's still working just fine. Now praying to avoid dry socket.

I forget once in 11 years to lock my computer before I go home and some coworker idiots send out a bunch of non-funny emails and post a thread here (I had the OH up, I guess). Sorry to anyone who might have seen it.

One of my old bosses thought it was hilarious messing with an unlocked computer. His thing was desktop wallpaper changes to boy bands and the like. I tried to get it through to him that from a manager to a subordinate it wasn't a cool thing to do at all, but he just gleefully kept at it to the point where I'd lock my computer if I was going to the bathroom.

Honestly the thing that upsets me isn't sending out emails. I do it all the time when my guys leave their stuff unlocked. I just always make sure its in-house AND its funny. It was a substandard, awkward effort.

And posting something here was over the line.

Whoever decided that these MASN trivia facts are better than trivia questions should be fired. The challenge of the questions has often been the only enjoyable part of the games, and they replaced them with this garbage? Ahhh!!!!!

I hate when they say a guy has an infinite ERA when they have 0 IP. It's incorrect. He doesn't have an ERA. Now...the limit of his ERA as IP approaches 0 is infinite, but his ERA is NOT infinite!!!!

Feel free to present an alternative number. I hear what you are saying, but it certainly seems nitpicky.

Of course it is, but what do you expect from a math major?

Perhaps they suppose "infinity" is more easily understood than is "undefined."

Ugh. My mouth feels all right, but my stomach isn't doing so hot. Threw up dinner last night and basically no appetite for anything except ginger ale. I'm not on the painkillers or the antibiotics and the surgery was over 2 days ago so I have no idea what's going on. Maybe it's a totally unrelated stomach bug.

Today, company barbeque which is nice, despite being the hottest day of the year. So, we're all waiting outside as the food is half an hour late. As it arrives, a fire alarm goes off and we have to all leave the picnic area and wait for the fire trucks.

Why did the alarm go off? Because some idiot upstairs decided to have a hot dog cookout, on a propane grill, in his office!
