I don't think they're a stone cold lock. If they lose by 20+ and theres some other bubble teams that play really well, they could get bumped out.
I don't think that will happen, but a scenario exists in which they could be NIT bound, so they aren't a complete lock. I think they have about a 90% chance of making the tournament though, if not higher.
FSU is still probably about 50/50 at this point.

Thorton is indeed a beast. Foul call at the end was horrible. Thorton was out of control on the drive. You can't make that call and at the end of a game between two teams fighting for their NCAA tourny lives. You got to let them play 5 more min.
FSU isn't a lock by any means. I think they are in the same boat MD was last year against BC. If they win they are in, if they play UNC close I think they have a good shot, but if they get blown out I think it severly hurts their chances.
Beaner.....don't worry after tommorow FSU's name won't be mentioned on this thread anymore. UNC by at least 10.

I'd say it if MAryland was the top seed too, I promise you. I have nothing against Florida State to be honest, I just think this sudden love for them on here is odd. I could go back and look at every College Hoops thread since November and I don't think I could find any FSU love at all.

On to UMD-Miami. I'm actually not too worried here which is never the case when the Terps play an ACC tourny game. They are rolling and have some motivation for beating Miami after the loss at Comcast. I would like to see them jump on Miami early and have the luxury of resting some guys down the stretch.

I don't agree with you about GT.
They finished 8-8 in the best conference in the country(even by RPI)..They have wins over BC, UNC, Duke and Memphis..They have 8 top 50 rpi wins and they have won 7 of their last 10.
Now, if they lose to Wake and alot of other bubble teams win their tourneys or win alot of big games, MAYBE they could get in trouble but i just don't think it will happen. I think you can pencil them in.
