    Trade Tejada Now

Who cares if he's hitting .340! He makes more dumb mistakes than any star player I've ever seen. This team is going no where, so we might as well get some value for him while the perception of stardom is still there.

And make our already weak offense even worse?

I agree it's time to trade Tejada, but you don't trade Tejada because you're mad at his idiocy. If you honestly look at the big picture, it's quite obvious that we won't be competing for anything late this year.

So for the good of the team and it's suffering, tortured fan base....

Please blow this disaster up. Put us out of our misery and do the right thing.

    The humane thing.

He should have been traded last year. The O's FO is in denial to think that team has a future with Tejada as our centerpiece.

If we don't have a future with Tejada as our centerpiece, we don't have a future with whatever we'd get in return for him as our centerpiece either.

We can build a contender with Tejada, we can build a contender by trading him and getting young players back. The main factor isn't Tejada, its the players we bring in to play with Tejada or for whoever we trade him for.

Not now...trade him near the deadline when people are getting desperate.

I'd wait until Tejada starts hitting the ball with some power, so his trade value goes up. Only seven extra base hits in 42 hits, are you kidding me? Did aliens replace Miguel Tejada with a clone of Placido Polanco this year?

The Angels are looking for a bat now so now's the time to pull the trigger if we think we can get the most from them.

You're right, but Tejada's mistakes are inexcusable. He is representative of how the O's are playing right now.

We trade him as soon as possible, which won't be until late June/early July.

What do we get back? Aybar?

    Hey, thanks SG.

I want two GOOD bats and an arm for a .340 hitter. Nothing less.

Of course the risk in that is that the power doesn't return, and the average flattens out, leaving you in a worse bargaining position than you're in today.

There is no reason to go after Aybar. I would be happy if we didn't get a SS back in return. Hell, just put Fahey at SS for the next year.

What we need is at least one top OF prospect or 1B prospect with power potential and a #1 or #2 ceiling pitching prospect.

The constant losing has gotten to Tejada IMO. He's lost is 100% focus he once had. Its no excuse not be mantally focused at all times on the field when you make 12 million but its human nature to lose focus when your team keeps losing, your the star, and you don't have enough fire power around you.

    We need to either:
    1) add a big, power bat in the offseason which with Tejada will make a formidable lineup

    or

    2) trade him and rebuild

You can't trade Tejada and contend right away.
