    Baysox update; House out

JR House has asked for his release from AAA Norfolk. Catcher Ryan Hubele now moves to AAA Norfolk with Eli Whiteside still on the DL.

Whiteside took BP today for the first time since being placed on the DL on June 19th with a broken nose. According to manager Bien Figueroa, Whiteside is about 3-4 days away from returning. With the catching situation in flux, Figueroa says that there is no set starting catcher and that the duties will be shared between Brian Bock and Morgan Clendenin for now.

This has to be the stupidest move by the organization yet this season. Don't they want somebody who can hit on the team?

OK Tony, it's time for you to do what only you can do: get us a coherent explanation from Stockstill or whoever for what the heck went on with this guy. From the outside looking in, the way House was handled appears to make no sense at all.

I second this. Their handling of this guy is baffling.

It's more than baffling, it borders on outright incompetence. I have
looked for months for defensive statistics for House without being
able to find anything other than stolen base % from two years ago.

    How can they justify this?
