It just happens to be the 3rd or 4th best season in its own show, sorta like the Orioles in the AL East, but not really.
    Yeah. Wrong.

Not a fan of Season 2 when put up against the others, and it's really because I couldn't stand Ziggy. I understand that we were eventually supposed to feel sorry fro the old d-bag, but...nah, I just thought he was a d-bag.

Also, I just wanted to say that reading back on this whole thread is just an absolute joy. I may have to re-watch the series again.

I really never thought I could get into a show the way I did with The Wire. I sat down on my couch on a Saturday to recover from the night before at 10 AM and randomly starting watching it on On Demand. I hardly moved until after 2 AM.

    Season 2 was my favorite.

I have started to watch this again. Just an incredible show.

The acting is great. You really believe that these guys are actually cops, especially Lester...He was brilliant in this show.

I was never impressed with the acting. Perhaps it's because I work with cops that I don't find the performances believable.

Unlike Ed Burns (and David Simon), I guess?*

*Clearly there is artistic license, an attempt to increase the individual scale to make it represent something much bigger. Verisimilitude is only one measure of realism.
