This thread inspired me to start re-watching. I watched the first episode last night and had to force myself to go to bed. I'm hoping to get the fiance into it, but she tends to fall asleep if we start watching anything after 8:30pm.

I'm only on episode 6 in season 1. Avon tells D'Angelo that if he keeps up the good work, he'll start getting "points on the package." I assume, from my lack of street smarts, that means he'll get a percentage of his sales revenue.

So when the owner of my company asked me how i was doing today, I said "good. Yo, it's time you start giving points on the package."

Neither one of us knew what we were talking about.

Yeah, I understood it as meaning essentially part ownership in the "company", as opposed to just drawing a salary.

It's a percentage of revenue rather than a salary.

My favorite version of the song is probably Season 5 by Steve Earle, I'm also a big fan of Season 2's version done by Tom Waits.

Just wrapped up Season 2 this weekend. What a great show. I'm really interested to see how they're going to continue the story line from here on out.

The Washington Post Magazine had a long story this weekend on Sonja Sohn, and her organization "ReWired for Life!" http://www.washingtonpost.com/lifest...y.html?hpid=z2

Add in politics and more drug dealers, and you'll get a rough idea.

It's about to get really good.

Just watched the last 5 episodes of season 3 on Saturday... it really sucked me in. LOL

But holy crap... what a great ending to the season. Best stretch of the show so far.
