    Angelos, you.da.man.
You really have no reason to gloat, troll. Your team has about as much a chance at making the playoffs over the next few years as we do.

I just don't understand it. Time and time again, people have jumped to false conclusions based on what the insiders have said. Then they look like fools, but apparently not enough to keep them from doing it some more.

Bottom line is, no one knows what the heck is going on. I'm not at all suprised Peace's source heard Angelos nixed the deal, because THAT IS WHAT EVERYONE ASSUMES!! Sorry, but I seriously doubt that Peace's source heard first hand that a deal was in place and everything was ready to go, but PA nixed it.

Maybe PA really did nix it, it wouldn't surprise me at all. But it's not a fact that he did it.

No offense meant to our insiders, BTW. I love the info you all provide.

The only thing I can say is that Belkast said he still feels a deal will happen.

Of course, that may have changed in the last hour, but he said it when all this stuff started coming out.

    Fellow O's lovers,

Use some of your boundless energy to start a fan boycott of the team as long as Angelos remains the owner.

    It is the only solution.

    One broken hearted O's fan,

    Gus

If history accounts for anything around here, it's two things:

    1. The O's have an uncanny knack for fouling things up.

    2. We shouldn't be "sure" of any rumor until it's finished, signed-off on, and announced.

It's fine to expect the worst due to #1. But it's also important to keep in mind #2.

    And the Wieters debacle.
I wonder if Wieters reads OH, follows all the rumors, and thinks to himself, "why did I sign with the O's?"

I like this forum. Reminds me a lot of M's forums. We both hate our team's FO and we threaten to never buy a ticket again. Sounds just like a lot of M's forums/blogs when it was reported Bedard was traded to Seattle.

This is actually one of the best team message boards I've come across for any sport. Goodp place here.

Can't really believe this until I read a published report on it. If this were true, MacPhail would be resigning as we speak, and Angelos would be even further crucified by the national media. He can't afford those things to happen.

Which is why I don't want the trade to go down. Bedard won't put the M's over the top. Great pitcher(when he pitches), but he isn't the final piece to even winning the AL West.
