Also, if this is true. look for MacPhail to resign very soon. Why would he stay here?

I just tried to start a thread on this, but from the Seattle forums Thomas1492 reported that Jones is heading to Phoenix for ST with the M's

My guy tells me Peter Angelos doesn't know a lot about baseball.

Look, I'll take this with as large a grain of salt as I've taken (or, tried to take) every piece of info this offseason. But if this is true, man, I am really close to done with this team.
If Bedard is still on this roster on Opening Day because PA killed a deal that Bavasi and AM agreed on, I will seriously consider not following this team anymore. I know it's easy to say that right now, but to be this close to FINALLY doing the right thing and rebuilding, and to have it snatched away, would be too much.
Just my $.02. Carry on.

As of last night you said your "source", Bedard's agent, hadn't been informed of anything. Now, you say Angelos nixed the deal. So, did AM call up Bedard's agent and say, "Well, I had a deal in place for you but Angleos nixed it so now you stay an Oriole."
Sorry, don't buy it. What in the world would the O's gain by informing Bedard of that?

Peter Angelos is going on 79 years of age. One would think that there's a pretty decent chance that he'll kick the bucket in the next decade or so..... there's only so much damage he has left in the tank.
In other news, there's a team not so far away that is building up quite a bit of nice young talent with a brand new stadium to boot.

If this is true, screw the O's.
Thank God we have one competent team in town. Otherwise there would be a lot of people on the bridge tonight going skinny dipping.
