MLB 08 The Show roster question

Hey everybody, I know there was a thread about this game a month or two ago, but now that it is out, has anyone bought it, and how current is the Baltimore roster?

    I just got it yesterday.

It has the Tejada trade (Sarfate, Scott, Albers, and Patton). It also has Quiroz. Bedard is still on team, but luckily Trachsel is still a free agent.

Thanks for the info! I hope you don't mind a follow-up question or two. How many of the Bedard tradees are on the Mariners roster?, and are there fake players in for Millar and Walker, or are they just totally non-existant?

Only Sherrill and Jones are on the Mariners roster.

I forget the names off the top of my head. I think Millar is called KEVIN MORGAN. Jamie Walker I dont remember. Funny thing is, Walker is rated the 4th or 5th best on the Orioles, while Millar is ranked towards the bottom.

Thanks for the quick responses. I may go out and purchase it tonight and I wanted to know what to expect. I hope the baserunning is easier than last years. I miss the old EA baseball games.

If you get online and get the roster update, it'll be up to date, even has Trax in the rotation, lol. I just sent him down for Liz, though.

Great game...I had it paused earlier today and the PA announcer at OPACY sent a shout out to Wild Bill. Pretty cool.

Now if you get the online update would Kevin Millar still be Kevin Morgan??? I have MLB 2K8 and Hayden Penn has a different name on it too... and Bradford throws overhand in the game. Lame.

Is Adam Jones any good in '08? He's so horrible in '07. I simmed a couple seasons and he hit like .230. Freakin' computer kept benching Markakis for some reason too, but that's another story. :P

He's alright...he's hitting .300 or so for me through the first 10 games. No homers, but he's got some clutch RBI. I suck at hitting though, I can't take a walk to save my life.

Just Sherril and Jones. I had to create Mickolio, Butler, and Tillman.

Millar is a different name cause he's not an MLBPA member.

Really like this game, never cared for the 2k series.

Certain players like Millar will never be in the games because for various reasons they are not members of the Player's Association for different reasons. Millar's reason is he can't because he was a scab during the strike.

I really enjoyed 2k6 and 2k7. Never got why anyone thought that EA was better?

MVP was a lot better IMO. I thought it had smoother graphics.

BTW, does anyone know if EA is making the college baseball game this year? I dont think they are and I am extrememly upset!
