    Orioles top-10 post-season pitching performances

I've been on a Game Scores kick of late, and I looked at every playoff game in the post-1954 history of the Baltimore Orioles to find the best starting pitching performances.

    For anyone who cares...

    Excellent (as usual).

Of course, "best" is one thing and "most important" is another. IMO, Palmer vs. Koufax ranks higher in importance. At game time, the Dodgers were down just one game, and they could say that what Drabowsky did was just a fluke. But the Koufax/Palmer game took their Dodger-blue heart and smashed that sucker dead. They threw the best 1-2 combination in the bigs at us in their home park, and wound up with nothing. They got off the plane in Baltimore with their heads down, looking beat.
