Norfolk Hitting: Three Bright Spots
Chris Heintz: 2 for 3 tonight plus a walk; entered the game with an 859 OPS in 34 ABs. Heintz is a critical guy for the rebuild; his production, assuming it continues, makes a Ramon trade more feasible.
Luis Terrero: 2 for 4 tonight with a homer, a walk, and a steal (and a pickoff – oh well); entered the game with an 831 OPS in 49 ABs. AM will surely try to trade Payton for whatever dollars can be recouped without regard to Luis’s performance; but with this kind of production, it sure makes it somewhat comforting to know that you can plug in Terrero post-trade and probably not skip a beat.
Eider Torres: 2 for 5 tonight; entered the game with a 773 OPS in 58 ABs plus 4 SBs (against 2 CSs). Torres, although primarily a 2B, has played some SS in the past and this year as well. Since Bynum is on the 40-man roster while Torres no longer is, I figure that Bynum gets the first crack at the active roster, replacing Fahey. But if by mid-year LH is sub-Mendoza while Torres maintains his current pace, it would be hard to deny a shot to Eider, who just turned 25 in January.
(BTW, can someone please comment on whether Eider’s arm is strong enough for SS on either a full-time or utility basis?)

My question is can he be a legit replacement for Roberts if traded?
