    thoughts on possible trade

10 team AL/NL head to head total points league.
1st year of a 3 year keeper league. Keep 4 players
Cannot keep anyone drafted in the first 2 rounds (keeps the studs available each year)
    My team
    C-VMart
    1B - Loney
    2B - Roberts
    SS - Tejada
    3B - D Wright (1st rd pick)
    OF - Berkman
    OF - Abreu
    OF - C Hart
DH - M Bradley or D Young or Hermidia or J Upton
SP - Vazquez, Volquez, Burnett, Cueto, Lester, Chris Young, Liriano, P Martinez, J Sanchez, Gallardo
RP - BJ Ryan, B Wagner

Another team wants Berkman and Wright (Can't keep Wright as he was my 1st round pick)
He offered me crap, so I countered with
Berkman and Wright for P Fielder (can't keep), M Ordonez, Longoria, and Kinsler.
He said he would probably do the deal w/o Kinsler.

I am currently in last place 4 games out.

    Thoughts?

That is a decent team...why are you losing in and out each week? Looks to me like pitching...

In a 10 team league, you should have 3 closers. I wouldn't recommend punting any category, but it looks like you will lose saves just about every week because you only have 2 guys; and BJ Ryan isn't getting a ton of chances right now.

I think you need to look were your team is weak if you plan on dealing your best two guys.

Obviously, Berkman has to cool off at some point, but David Wright went nuts last year in the second half. I have him on my team, and I'm not trading him for anything less than Hanley Ramirez (keeper league or not).

You don't need Kinsler. By my estimation, you could stand to upgrade your lineup at first (keep in mind Berkman should be an option there as well if you have to trade for some top OFers). I would slide Milton Bradley into the OF spot, but keep Hart as insurance when Milton gets injured or goes crazy. Then you'd need a thumper at your UTIL spot. You should be set otherwise.

I would offer him Berkman for Fielder, a closer, and Ordonez. Try to cash in on Berkman's value now while its off the charts. That trade would be quite a haul, and I would think it would still be worth it if you threw in Justin Upton or a SP.

I'm with the above poster, and I can't believe you are around last place. Be patient and the team you have will eventually pull you out of it.

My pitching has been sporadic, Volquez was a great pick up off the wire and Liriano was sent down right after I traded for him...but mostly, it is luck...I have played the team with the most points in the week 4 times this year. Going into this week, I had the most points against.

We can only start two RP...5 SP and 2 RP.

It's not a rotisserie league, so punting a category doesn't matter, it's just a head to head points based league.

Thanks for th input though...I put a lot of time into draft strategy, but it seems like my pitchers are nto panning out.
