Federer, duh, even though he hasn't had a great year.

I'll go with Sharapova on the woman's side. Safe, boring picks.

I will go with Ivanovic and Djokovic. Two serbes. I will try to do a write up on the slam later this week. I have been awfully busy.

I wouldn't consider either one of those picks safe. Federer is not what he once was and Nadal is on a roll. Having said that I'll reach and say Roddick.

Sharapova has won Wimbeldon before, but there are several others playing well and can win it. I''ll say Venus on the women's side.

Federer may very well lose, but it won't be to Nadal, not on grass. The gap may be closing between Federer and the rest of the field, but it's still quite large.

Yeah, the woman's draw is certainly much more open. Went with Sharapova just because her game is so good on grass.

Wow. My favorite player is out in Djokovic. Ivanovic was a cm from losing her match.

Safin has always had the talent, but could never win back to back. This is a huge surprise and who ever comes out of that bracket is going to be interesting.....

Federer has to be the favorite now, even more so.

Nadal took him 5 sets last year and very easily could have won that match. So to say he won't beat him this year when Nadal is playing even better and Federer is more vulnerable is a reach if you ask me. If someone beats Federer at Wimbledon Nadal would have the best chance of making it happen.

Federer's also given Nadal all he can handle at the French before, doesn't mean I wouldn't pick Nadal every time. Anything can happen, but I'd be stunned if Nadal beats Federer at Wimbledon.

I won't be stunned, but I would have Federer as a favorite.

Wow so a bunch of the so called favorites have been sent packing already. Including several that were picked by some here at the hangout, myself included.

Yup, you and I both had a bad day with our picks. Surprised Sharapova went out that early.

Well we've each lost a pick, but we both have a pick remaining as well. It's looking like it could be an all Williams final on the women's side, although I think Dementieva has a decent chance to beat Venus.

On the Men's side it's still looking like we are going to get Nadal vs Federer. Although Nadal has a tough quarterfinal matchup today against Murray. And Federer could possibly play Safin in the semis which could cause some problems for Roger.

Agree on all counts. And I think Murray will beat Nadal.

Yet another fantastic prediction on my part. My tennis knowledge is really coming through in this thread.
