I have to say... everyone knows my thoughts on Hendrix. He was a visionary, he had an... otherwordly... understanding of feedback and distortion. I've watched 1000's of hours of footage and seen so many examples.
But Nick Drake was even MORE of a true prodigy! Just the effortless mastery of any instrument he picked up. The arrangements of his songs. The way all his songs just..... GROOVE! They just flow.
More talent than Jimi. Whoda thunk it?

As great as all the Monterey stuff is, and as awesome as Hendrix' set was, Otis Redding OWNED that festival. You may disagree, but you'd be wrong.
