Technically, and actually... Carlos and crew are funky as hell too. On the one and all...
ONE two three four

The "sweet spot" in music.

For those who thought that CSN&Y were only a studio band:

I feel like I've been weak lately... posting another long funk series (am I the only Funk afficianado here?) and other assorted anonymous junk. And other guys posting better links than mine...

Very welcome links, thanks all!
This shreds...

Lowell and the boys. One of the tightest rhythm sections ever.

Any other harp lovers out there?
Magic D can still play it like he did back in the early J. Geils days...

Love harp, wish I could do more than tune my guitar with one...

That Little Feat is great stuff. I saw Nawlins and thought of Aaron Neville or Zydeco. Neville is a great man and humanitarian, but his music... not so great.

Feat's Nawlins connections are more along the lines of Alan Toussaint, Dr. John, the Meters. They started out more of a countrifried group and got boogier/funkier as they went along. They might have been alt-country 25 years before there was such a thing. Damn I miss Lowell George.

Not a big fan of Aaron Neville's music, but when the man opens his mouth to sing I think that must be what it sounds like in heaven.

I DO have a copy of that, just never posted it. One of my VERY favorite Neil songs. Good song to jam with too.
