    Criss Angel Stunt Revealed...

Ok..Ok...we all knew he was a fake. But, he was a fake who kept it under wraps for a long time...until now. Fox News went over some footage and completely ruined this guy...

Haha...too funny though; Someone in his crew was definitely fired after this awful stunt.

I kinda like Angel, I like the whole genre, from Houdini on. Every illusion ever done, was just that, an illusion. (Besides some hidden or passed keys...) Like the Producer said while examining the video, Chris Angel himself debunks these kind of illusions (as did Houdini too...) and would probably respect them for doing it.

Also, I really don't think magicians debunk others because they want it to be done to them. They do it to elevate themselves.

    Right...Misery loves company

Angel had a large following, including pretty much being the only act at the Luxor in Vegas...so I think he will be ok. Still, I want him to rebuttal what the news station said.

I think Penn and Teller would disagree...

Well, I certainly think they do it to elevate themselves, but that they also would appreciate their own stuff being debunked. Personally, I'd love to know how they pulled off the Catching a Bullet in Your Teeth trick...

Penn & Teller are a completely different beast, but at the same time, most magicians, if they're going to "break the code," debunk others to make themselves look smarter and more "authentic"...so when they get debunked themselves it tends to have a backlash effect.

That being said, I'm sure he'd have much preferred it if a young upstart would have "outed" him, not an eagle eyed production crew. Though to be fair, if I had have been watching that, the whole static thing would have been a red flag for me, that was pretty darn noticeable.

Penn and Teller more than anything debunk stupid fads; Their show Bull$*** is so good because they completely make some of these people look like fools.

That's a good point. To be debunked by a local TV crew is pretty sad.

Ha ha! I just watched this again and figured out how they did it!

Passed the bullet to the cable guy, behind the close-up cameraman. After that it's easy to pass it behind stage to Penn. The gun (with the smilie face drawn on the shell...) fires a blank, still strong enough to break the pane of glass.

It is a very good trick; Angel had some mind boggling tricks as well...if you sat and reviewed it, you could very well figure them out.
