Some people shouldn't be allowed to be part of society

Can you believe people are complaining about this?Last edited by Sports Guy; 08-20-2008 at 08:58 PM.

I can.
People are ultra sensitive these days, over the smallest of things.
Frosted Flakes rule, btw.

I totally believe it; this is a way more legitimate gripe than many other things I have seen (and this is an extremely illegitimate gripe).

F&cking fascists.
First they ban transfat, then they require nutrition labels, then they inspect 5th graders' lunches......you get the picture.
You get what you vote for, folks.

Oh, then I stand corrected on that one. That is pretty ridiculous. I can understand the thinking behind things like banning smoking because that could potentially harm other people. But someone should be able to do whatever he/she wants to his/her own body if it doesn't harm other people... (ok I guess eating transfats could cause higher healthcare costs or something, but that's still pretty absurd).

Wow this is ridiculous. People are just mad because he's not going on Wheaties, which everyone does. It has nothing to do with nutrition or obesity in children. Besides according to Kellogg's website:
Corn Flakes: serving size 1 cup/100 cal/0g fat/2g sugar/10% of Vit A and C
Frosted Flakes: serving size 3/4 cup/110 cal/0g fat/11g sugar/10% vit A and C
and according to Wheaties site:
Wheaties - serving size 3/4 cup/100 cal/0.5g fat/4g sugar/10% vit A and C
I don't see too much of a difference other than the sugar...but you're also comparing a sweetened cereal to an unsweetened cereal. The only thing that Wheaties really has on Frosted Flakes is probably more whole grains...but who knows if that's even true because most cereals are whole grain. Sorry but cereal is the least of our eating problems, it's the fast food culture and the junk food that we eat around the house.
And the article is just dumb...yeah kids are suddenly going to eat Frosted Flakes because Michael Phelps is on the box, not because the mascot is a damn cartoon tiger and they routinely have Finding Nemo and other stuff like that on/in the box. Get real people. Other than the tradition of having athletes on their box, who actually eats Wheaties?

Seriously, dude? This would be the point in the thread where I'd be getting neg rep for doing something like this. Just cut it out.
Anyway, this is just laughable, but if you seriously think this kind of thing is a bigger threat to American liberty than certain OTHER things the government does - on the Federal level, not local or state - then I don't know what to tell you.
