Not a good day for former Terps football player. The following ex players were cut

Keon Lattimore cut by Dallas
Joey Haynos cut by GB
Andrew Crummey cut by Redskins (signed to practice squad)
Isaiah Gardner cut by Jaguars
Lance Ball cut by the Rams
Erin Henderson did make the Vikings
Nick Novak did make the cheifs

I know most everyone here will disagree with this... but I never saw (on the field) the hype that was Erin Henderson. Was he a good player? Yes. Was he great? IMO, no. I think one of the only reasons he looked halfway decent was because so many of the players around him were mediocre that he was basically forced into having to make plays.
The greats of his position over the last decade in CP were so much better him... he just never did it for me. I wish the guy well... but... oh well.

For a guy who went undrafted, I don't think there's the mass hype in the NFL that you seem to be arguing against. Seems like this guy had a real uphill battle to make the team but pulled it off.
I was always bewildered why Henderson didn't at least go in the 4th round or later, but at the same time, Dre Moore went in the 4th and was cut. I guess that late it's pretty much a crap shoot and it's just who can stick. I think Erin will learn from his brother there though and be a good player if he can stay healthy.
Very glad Crummey made the Skins practice squad, I think he'll be a good player down the road. Good for Novak, too.

I'm not speaking of the NFL hype... I was referencing a lot of the hype from college. I wish the kid well, certainly. I hope he turns into a star... I just never saw it on the field at MD. We've had some amazing LBs over the years.... really amazing.... and I wouldn't put E.H. in that group.

Henderson's best shot at a long NFL career is to be a special teams stud. That's how the Vikings see him. Maybe he'll get a shot to play LB regularly if guys get hurt, but he's going to start out like Adalius Thomas did.
