ATTN: Everyone who requested a copy of this MP3...

I am having some difficulties. Apparently the MP3 is too big to zip (it's taking so long using the free zip software that my computer is freezing up) and too big to send using the free portion of yousendit. Not sure what to do here.

I'm wondering if anyone has an FTP site where we can upload this? Or, alternately, I'd be willing to send cd-r's by snail mail to anyone who sends me postage....

By the way, I'm headed to Spain for a week - leaving tomorrow. So, if anyone has any suggestions, let me know and we can figure something out when I get back.

I noticed that the file was gone from my old rapidshare account. I intend to reupload the mp3 to mediafire, which seems to be more stable these days. Stay tuned.

Hey, Kevin. Check out my Reggie Jackson's Lost Season thread from a while back.

(I uploaded the '83 highlights using MediaFire. Presumably, by clicking this link, you can download it. Hope it works!)

Brilliant stuff. Back in the days when the Orioles were a force in the American League and people didn't scratch their heads when the Oriole Way was mentioned!

I have that cassette too. Ireeplaceable memories.

We took 2 of 3 from Toronto in that series. The [in]famous game with the three pickoffs, and another game that was 1-1 until the 9th or 10th when Disco Dan Ford came through with a big game winning RBI double.

And then there was the game I actually went to in that series. O's lost something like 9-1 and somehow it didn't maike the cassette tape.

Two incredible games -- that I listened to on WFBR -- and one crappy game that I had great seats for. Darn the luck.

I miss listening to games on the radio. Back in the day, when more than half the games weren't on TV, you did that all the time. Now you only do that when you can't get the game on TV for whatever reason.
I was at this game. I saw Tippy do it live. Then Sakata hits a dinger for the win.

Here is another upload. I had to look around, but I think this is what I originally uploaded to rapidshare, though it looks essentially the same as what Mike re-uploaded, 1:16:22 mono 44 kHz.

The Stadium was electric back then. The crowds were not as big as the 92-97 era but they were WAY, WAY louder.

It was amazing. I remember sitting out in the left field bleachers for game 3 of the 4-game season-ending series against the Brewers in 1982.

So, my 8-year-old son has become a baseball junkie, and he listens to this (Orioles 1983 highlights) almost every night. His favorite part is the 3-pickoff-inning against the Blue Jays. Also, Baseball Reference is becoming his favorite website!

Does anyone have any other mp3s to share? Looking for:
    * MP3 of the song Orioles Magic
    * MP3s of old radio broadcasts or highlights
    * MP3 of the "Chuck Thompson" highlights casssette

My crazy son thanks you in advance.
