How much $$ is Strasburg/Boras going to demand?
Every article I have read about Strasburg suggests that he is the best pitcher entering the draft in the past 10 to 15 years. I have not read what Boras is seeking for Strasburg (too early I think), but I think its going to be huge. My guess that its going to dwarf the $10.5 million deal that the Cubs gave Prior in 2001.
Anybody want to take a guess?
I am also starting to think that, because of demands that Boras will have, there is a growing possibility that the Nationals will not pick him, causing him to fall. Now, how far will he fall? Is there any way that he could fall to the Orioles at the 5th pick???
My guess is no, but stranger things have happened.

I see him demanding $17-18 million and settling for $11-12.
The Nats will not pass on him. There's too much pressure from the fan base, media, and their own common sense to take him, especially after the Crow fiasco. (The Post has all but penciled him in their rotation. They've had several features just on him in the past nine months, including one today with a foot tall photo of him on the cover of the sports section. And this is four months before the draft. They've also had plenty of other mentions of him in articles on the Nats' future.) But even if for some bizarre reason they do, SD will certainly take him, because he's a local boy. All of Boras' clients demand a lot and settle for much less - and the clubs know this, especially since Strasburg's a pitcher so the chance of serious injury is larger.
At best, I see the odds as this: 1/10 the Nats pass, 1/25 SD passes, 1/10 Seattle passes, 1/8 Pittsburgh passes, for a combined total of 1/20,000 of a chance he falls to us. In other words, we are about 100 times more likely to win the world series.
