    Eastbound & Down

Starring Danny McBride about a flamed-out MLB pitcher premieres tonight at 10:30 on HBO. It's made by Will Ferrell and Adam McCay, the brains behind Anchorman. Looks hilarious, Post liked it a lot.

Wish I still had HBO. Any chance Hulu will have this later?

Pretty sure Hulu doesn't carry HBO shows.

That sucks. I'll have to find it somewhere. I'd also like to catch up on the second season of Flight Of The Conchords. And what am I going to do when True Blood comes back?

There was a very interesting opening scene.

It was a bit heartbreaking though...

Finally caught up to it last night. Not that impressed so far, but I'll probably give it a couple of more episodes before walking away.

Likewise. A funny moment or two, but overall not that funny, or that clever.

If Mitch Williams, the late Rod Beck, and John Rocker had a baby, it would be Kenny Powers.

It's definitely up and down. I'm mainly in it for Danny McBride's mullet.

I thought the second episode was awful. Enough to get me to stop watching the show for now.

If it gets funny again, please wake me up.

I thought it was about as funny as the first. It's all in the dialogue. But it can be hit or miss.

I'll watch for now, but I haven't loved this show.

The dialogue and Kenny's character are what drives it, but I'm not sure that can keep the entire show going. There need to be some better secondary characters, all the laugh's can't come form Kenny.

I also feel that Kenny is just a re-hashing of all of the Will Ferrell characters recently, and that Danny McBride can't quite pull it off as well.

I think this show has great potential, but they need to hit their stride.
