I'm not starting P90X+ in it's entirety yet. But, I have started some weight training and I use some P90X(+) workouts on off days. Yesterday was my first P90X+ tape...the Kenpo Cardio +. It's a pretty good workout, and I always find the Kenpo stuff to be fun. It's only 40 minutes, so it gives me time to do something else afterward. It's definitely more cardio intensive than the regular Kenpo. It's mostly combo moves.
But the biggest thing...Tony cut his hair (I think in an attempt to look younger)...and he now looks like the evil, bizarro Tony...I don't approve.

Finishing up 4 weeks. Instead of 3 + 1 recovery, I did the same thing for 4 weeks. I'm going on vacation next week, so I'll do recovery then. I didn't really feel like I needed a recovery, and I'm really maxing out this week.
I really like all of the workouts. I even enjoy Yoga (but I've been doing the 1on1 version). I don't really dread any - well, except for the Insanity one's I'm supplementing in.
Core Synergystics is my favorite (it's once per week on 'lean'). I like it because I can dominate it now, even Chattarunga.
Fifer-scissors is the move I really hate, because I am not really limber enough to do it.
All of the pull-up stuff is kind of discouraging, because I'm really bad at them. It bums me out when he says "some of you have done over 140 pull-up", and I've only done maybe 40 'no-help' one's.

I really liked Core Syn too. I had trouble with chatarunga run because of flexibility stuff...but I liked the workout as a whole.
Stick with pull ups. My pull ups really went up as I went through the program.
I'm working on the P90X+ videos now. I haven't started the full program yet, because I want to wait until after vacations to start a rigid schedule again. But, man...they are tougher. I just did the Intervals Plus yesterday along with the Ab/Core Plus...and man, that was a good workout.

Today is my 30 day mark. Some observations:
- I've cut my weight from 151.8 to 143.8 lbs. Cut body fat from 16.3% to 13.7%. So, already, enormous progress.
- Following the diet was a chore, and I almost quit the first week. I now just eyeball it, make sure when I'm eating to take note: "This should be 1 carb, 2 protein and 1 vegetables." etc. Obviously this has worked out.
- Noticeable improvements in both strength and energy throughout the day. No longer sore the day after a workout.
- The pullup bar is sooo important. I got one finally on Sunday. I had been using tension bands over a doorframe, and I had noticeably improved since Day 1. That said, I'm still pretty pathetic at pullups and I believe I'll be able to see huge increases in my back now as well.

Nice work. I'm not really following the diet plan, because I'm not really worried about my weight. Not that my weight is perfect, I just ain't worried about it.
Decided today that I'm switching to 'classic' from lean, so I'm going to restart after this week's vacation. I like Core X and all, but Ab Ripper X should do the trick. I don't think I was ready to abandon arms and shoulders anyway.

As documented earlier, I went from about 235-240 at my wedding at the end of June. I went to New Orleans for my 1 year Anniversary a year later. P90x def helped me get to about 197 upon completion. I ate the same pretty much, just not late, and still drank on the weekends. I am getting ready to leave on a cruise in a couple days and plan to go through it again after.
Wedding (obviously)

New Orleans (and rocking the O's gear)

I'm getting there. I've been finished with P90X for a little while now. Since then, I've been lifting more and working in the P90X+ videos, which I'm really starting to like. I'm getting close to being able to max 250 (I think)...I did a few reps at 215 last night. But, since I don't have a spotter, I can't really try too much more than that yet.
After the summer is over, I'm going to start the P90X+ full schedule...anyone else going to try this?

It looks interesting, but I'll probably be too bored with the rest of the bits by then (I'm essentially doing a 4.5 month P90x now). I guess I'm tracking to a mid-October end date. I'm hoping P90Next or the new Insanity comes out by then. If not, I might try Turbo Fire. I'm kind of addicted to the whole Beach Body thing...

No, it's just kind of an extension. They're supposed to do a whole new deal.
The official name of the next program is actually P90X:MC2 (muscle confusion 2). The official site says Fall 2011 though, so my mistake. Bummer.
What they're doing is doing P90X One on One right now (1 per month), which is sort of the beta test.
I know Insanity 2 is further along, so maybe they are staggering the releases. Insanity is also going to do One on One's in addition to a new program.

You said Insanity is much heavier cardio than P90X, right? How does it compare for muscle building/strength? I like the strength/lifting aspects of P90X, which is why I'm pretty happy with P90X+. The total body + and upper + are pretty nice workouts. I also like the new Ab/Core +, which is a more complete extension of Ab Ripper X.
I'll stick with lifting for another month or 2 to try and hit my 250 mark (among other goals), and then go through P90X+ in its entirety. After that, I'll have to figure out where to go until the P90Next comes out...When I bought P90X, I really didn't think I'd stay with it for the whole 90 days. Now I feel guilty if I miss more than 1 day in a row of working out. I'm going to Ocean City for a week, and I'm looking into joining the Golds Gym down there for a week to make sure I can work out...I'm a junkie now.

Insanity is heavy cardio. Well, heavy interval cardio. It's a lot of plyometrics. The warmup for any Insanity video is tougher than the P90X Plyo workout.
It's not great for your upper body though. There are a lot of pushups, but that's about it. Beach Body says you won't loose your P90X results, but I don't buy it. You would probably have to double up P90X workouts a few times a week. And you would really have to eat a lot.
You're core and below gets crazy worked though.

Anyone still going with P90X? I just finished my 2nd week of P90X+, and it's definitely more challenging...but, it also offers less variety throughout the week. So far I like it, but I wonder if I'll be bored of it before the program is over.
