Scratch Acid were as well, but not really punk.

I'm also a big fan of:

    Crass
    The Ex
    The Wipers
    Wire
    The Fall
Excellent Stuff. Especially the clip from The Ex. I wonder if they've got a plug-in these days for the singing through the bullhorn method.

I really like the clip from Wire too.

Anybody ever heard of The Menzingers? Sort of a folky pop-punk sound, with occasional ska and rap influences. I highly recommend checking them out if you like that sort of thing.

I just skimmed through this and saw mention of Pere Ubu.
    Did I miss them?

An interesting Patti Smith clip from 1976. There's several others floating around from this concert.

Saw NOFX for the first time back in October. Really brought back some memories. They pretty much played it all. Fat Mike got drunk as crap and was found wandering around downtown Richmond after the show by some guys who gave him a ride back to the venue. A good time had by all.

I saw them on that tour at Rams Head. They were good, they attract a meathead crowd though. Dillinger Four opened though, and they were fantastic.

Should anyone read this, consider going to see these guys Friday night at the Ottobar. They are one of the best live bands I've ever seen; making me feel like I'm at a Minor Threat show in the '80's.

Several months ago somebody posted a great Avengers video of them performing the song The American in Me. The group name was misspelled "Advengers".

Anyway, I can't find the original post to attach to, but here's another great Avengers live clip from '78.

This is what I'm talking about. Or, well, I'm not talking about. But I should be.

I respect X, but I don't like them. Maybe I'm listening to the wrong stuff. Somebody who likes them, please point me in the direction of their best stuff?
