The Shorebirds have sent Rosa to Aberdeen as planned so that he can have more playing time. He will split SS with Blake Davis until Blake moves on during his rehab.

The Shorebirds also contitnue to play musical chairs with their pitchers as they try to play an inordinate amount of games in a few days.

I wonder what the reasoning is for sending Drake down to Aberdeen? He's more than held his own, and the numbers speak for themselves. Seems a little weird to me, I guess the Ironbirds needed some starting pitching until they get more guys signed and ready?

It is just a paper move, Drake will be back when it is his turn to pitch. The Shorebirds needed a roster spot for Moreau, who was himself assigned to Aberdeen on a paper move. The players never actually leave the team.

The Aberdeen roster is already filled with players so they dont really need more.

Dont read anything into it. Drake pitched two days ago which means he is not pitching for a few more. So they drop him to Aberdeen to make room on the roster. Same went for Moreau, who pitched yesterday. They need fresh arms on the roster during til after the weekend packed of double headers. I'm sure both we be back on the roster by the weekend.
