Another Boston Series cometh

Well, first one at home this season. I have to work late on each of the days, so I am not going to be there. Anyone else going, or does anyone LIKE going to Boston series at home? I often have much less fun at Boston games, and not because of their team being successful, but because of the Red Sox fans.

I could deal with it if not for the legions of lame Boston bandwagon fans. It's a terrible shame, too. Boston fans are arrogant fans with a chip on their shoulder and constantly pulling out a New York inferiority complex, which leads to over-aggressive frat-boy buffoons being down right hostile to Orioles fans in our own house (this has too often been my own experience).

I hope that the Pink Hat Sox nation does not come out in full force and start with their Camden Yards entitlement drown out cheers. I mean, it is Monday-Wednesday, and people have to work, right? Oh yeah, I forgot that these people don't have real jobs.

As much as everyone on this board wants orange and black to outnumber red and pink, it will take a few years of winning baseball to steadily draw the casual baseball fans in the town on a week night against a first place team. In the meantime, those who do go: cheer hard, protect your own, don't lose your cool, and if you do feel like provoking: parody them!

I'm there for Tuesday's game, which I think will be the first time I've seen Smoltz live.
Given that Pink Hat Nation took over Washington just last week and that it's a weekday series (with a 1:35 game on Wednesday), I think the infestation rate is going to be lower than usual.

Sadly, I have a bad feeling about the crowd this week. It is a middle of the week series, but it is the week of July 4th, so many people are on vacation, which means probably more Sox "fans" than there normally would be. Hopefully I am wrong.

I am NOT looking forward to the next three days, I'm contemplating taking a few days off watching baseball. We always get owned by Boston, and their pink hat wearing, -1000 baseball IQ fans are the worse on this planet. Life's stressful enough right now, I don't need a game to make it even more so.

That said, of course i'll still watch. Go O's!!!

You guys have a very skewed view of Red Sox Nation. I know relatively few ignorant "bandwagoners." And the ones that are are usually baseball 2nd fans (Pats or Bruins 1st). Most Sox fans in my world are passionate, intelligent, and hate the Yankees as much as I do.

My experience of Sox vs Yankees fans has been the opposite of what is commonly professed to on here. The Sox fans I have met have been reasonable passionate baseball fans... the Yankee fans I have met are the rude and generally difficult to be around fans...
