At my family's g-lacial Bel Air estate, the final total is approximately 28". Not including the multiple piles of snow that now tower over us.
I only shoveled for a little over two hours, and I felt like I was about to die. That was some heavy snow.

Dude, I know I'm about 5 years older than you, but I only shoveled for about 20 minutes before I said "eff this, I want to LIVE," and went back inside.

I have no idea what that's like...by the time I was old enough to shovel, my father had reached a point in his life where he had pretty much couldn't shovel. Though, were he alive and capable today, I don't think I'd have a problem stopping on him, though I'd probably drag him in with me. I really don't believe we're built to shovel more than 6 inches of snow for more than 20 minutes. It's like you're literally digging your own grave.

The Accuweather forecast says only 5" on Tuesday/Wednesday. That's not so bad.
My parents' power went out again a few hours ago, no idea if it's back on yet. I thought about heading home for the weekend and I'm really glad I didn't.

Well, 6 hrs later, the car is finally out of it's snowy grave.

Thank you Mr. Plow, for adding that extra 4' high snow bank next to it.
I know you have a job to do, but give us unfortunate ones who have to park their cars on the street a break.

The street I park on is actually PA997. The way thru Waynesbar for this state highway. Which means the BIG yellow* state plows are out, early and often. One side of my car is buried in dense, salty, up past the hood line, ice.
Luckily I don't need my car til maybe Tuesday.
*What's yellow and sleeps seven?
A PennDOT truck.

But on the flip side, sometimes they call for a bunch of accumulation and then there's nothing or a few flakes.
