Right now we have a beautiful owl perched on a tree about three feet away from our sliding glass door, getting shelter from the snow. If I knew how to post photos, I'd put it up here. All the other birds are nervous.

The storm definitely stalled overnight because from about 12-3am (I go to bed pretty late
) there was basically nothing. Started snowing again after that and I just woke up and it's a whiteout out there. What a mess.

Roof collapses at Smithsonian warehouse in Md.
sourceWASHINGTON - A section of the roof and a wall at part of the Smithsonian Institution's Museum Support Center in Maryland has collapsed, though no artifacts are thought to be damaged.
The collapse was discovered early Wednesday at the Garber Facility in Suitland, which houses artifacts from the National Air and Space Museum.
Smithsonian spokeswoman Linda St. Thomas said the collections are safe in a sealed container inside the building.
