Seriously, I'm so jealous of people that can call out. Its not an option for me, ever. And people that have a regular 9-5. I've never worked it.

On the plus side, I called in a favor and traded with one of my coworkers that lives in Philly to take my shifts during the storm. Chuck T is a great man. And thorough.

the magic! The magic was great. It's really the way to go.
Lisa: How'd you do your act? You left your magic kit here.
Bart: Or so it would seem!

    I am really surprised.

University of Delaware already canceled weekend events and pushed Winter Session finals back from Saturday to Monday and moved the start of Spring Semester from Monday to Tuesday.

I don't want to get everyone going crazy, but this is what I heard at school today.

Apparently a teacher's friend works for the National Weather Service and they're lowballing their predictions and telling the news stations the same (the 16-24"). What I heard was that apparently they're sayings it's 3-5 FEET! They just don't want people to go ballistic in stores and all.

I personally think it's a load of but nonetheless, that's pretty crazy. That's a hella lotta snow.

(And believe me, I've thought about if I should post this or not, because I know a ton are gonna call me crazy, but I'd have know reason to lie about the story. The question is if it's true or not.)

Well, let's see. I heard they got 5" of rain down in Kentucky so the math is 16" of snow for every 1 inch of rain, right?

    Anyone have snowshoes?

Can you even picture four feet of snow?

It's going to be cold on the back end of this thing too, so it won't be going away anytime soon.

Oh and there's more coming Tuesday, apparently.

Funny, I always thought they overestimated snowfall to get people out and spending money.

I think they might be lowballing it too, based on what I've read in terms of rainfall they've had down south.

3' of snow would be an epic amount and would shut down the region. State and local governments would need to know of this pending amount ahead of time to try and plan for it. If the NWS thinks that 3-5' of snow is the amount and they do not tell state and local governments ahead of time, than heads will roll at the NWS. If they indeed did tell state and local governments this, than word would have leaked out...
