    June 2, 2010? That's almost summer!

It looks cold there in SC also - it's 50 degrees today here but I was able to get 18 holes in this morning....

It's in the 40's today. But I'm not complaining considering how things are up north.

Oh, my wife set up the date thing on the camera. I'll see if she can change it, I took those today.

It's right (if you took them yesterday), just in a Date/Month/Year format. Or maybe it's flat wrong.

I've been without power since 8 pm Friday, except for one thirty minute tease. The stuff normally in our fridge is sitting encased in snow in bins in our front hallway. The stuff normally in the freezer is outside. Slept under about 6 blankets last night. Not sure if I can make it through another night without bailing to a hotel.

I read either in the Post or on Pepco's website that they are advising customers without power to head to hotels, as they are having a hard time getting crews out to fix things. I think I'd go someplace warm for the night if you can make it safely.

Not sure if a hotel room will be empty and waiting on you if you dawdle... unless you wanna go for quite the drive...

Well, while I was shoevling out yesterday morning from about 24-26 inches in my driveway, suddenly my radio went dead. Yup, power out at 12:24 Saturday afternoon. It didn't come back until 9:30 last night. All day with no heat, no light, no tv, and kids with nothing to do...

    Red Rum...Red Rum!

This morning I got up at 7am and shoveled out from where the plow blocked me in again. Finally got on here for the first time. Hope everyone is ok. My back, arms, legs, and neck are DONE! I may take tomorrow off for principal alone!

And thanks to Weams for offering me warmth, but the power kicked in just before I had to burn the furniture!

I'll tell you what I'm never doing again: shoveling my sidewalk. The township can pucker up and kiss my @ss.

Those a-holes buried my entire sidewalk while clearing the road. Mind you, I have an end unit, and there's about 200 feet of it.

All of it, buried by front end loaders. Everywhere that the township had shoveled, did not get buried, they just left it on the road.

    I'm ever so pissed.

Took me two hours to get my roommate down the road. My car is 100 feet from the road, it will be there until I get back from DC. In any event, I smell like motor oil now...

That stinks Rick. I have a friend who bailed to a hotel last night. We've been lucky power wise here. Hope your power comes back on soon..

Well I realized why I decided to start lifting weights again back in October, in anticipation of all the shoevling that I would now be doing. At least I'm all done now

Back when I was an active duty Marine we didn't worry about snow. We just picked up the vehicles and moved them to a less precipitated area.
