I just cannot see spending all that money for a wrestling PPV, though I do love the Royal Rumbles. I have heard rumors about Edge, but where have you seen that he is definitely coming back? This would obviously be Edge eliminating Jericho and setting up a program between the two at Mania. And if Edge is 100% ready to go, that's your show stealer!

I like the Rumble Match itself because its the one match of the year that's hard to call a winner. It could be HBK to then go on and challenge Taker at Mania. It could be Triple H to then go challenge Sheamus. Batista...Cena...could be a lot of guys.

I'm gonna go with an HBK win.

    Mania shaping up:

    Taker defends against HBK
    Sheamus defends against Triple H
    McMahon vs Bret Hart
    Edge vs Jericho
    Cena vs Batista
    Punk vs Rey Mysterio
Randy Orton vs Ted DiBiasi (and maybe add Cody Rhodes for a triple threat)
Money in the Bank Ladder Match
    Christian defends the ECW title

That's my top matches right now.

Dipper, Ive heard it on impactwrestling and they have confirmed that Edge would be 100% by the Rumble. Yes, you are correct they want to start a program with Y2J and Edge with Edge as the good guy. My money is on Triple H to win the Royal Rumble and fight Sheamus. Ted Dibiase will turn good at the Rumble by turning on Orton at some point during the event. It sucks Austin and the Rock are no longer in the Rumble they were the best in the 30 man match!

They aren't going to do Michaels/Taker again IMO.

The talk has been HHH/Michaels, Cena/Taker, Vince/Bret, Edge/Jericho(edge is supposed to cost him the rumble match)...Taker is hurt and is supposed to take time off after WM, so while I don't think he will lose at Mania, he may not go there with the title.

I have Takers autograph. Sucks he wont be in the 30 man Royal Rumble. He does have bad knees and is in pain per impactwrestling.

Yeah, I don't buy the Taker taking more time off. I think the next time he leaves he will just retire. He has been talking about retiring at Mania for the past couple years.

Of course, in wrestling, retirement means SQUAT.

Well, I had the matches right but not the Champions. Here are my predictions for Sunday night...

HBK ends Taker's undefeated streak in the Main Event of the evening.
Batista successfully defends the Championship vs Cena.
Edge defeats Jericho to win the Championship, but then loses it to MITB winner Christian.
    MITB: Christian wins.
Bret Hart beats McMahon with the Sharpshooter.
Punk beats Mysterio, causing Rey to join his little group.
ShowMiz successfully defends their tag titles vs Morrison and Truth
Ted DiBiasi wins the triple threat vs Orton and Rhodes
    Sheamus defeats Triple H

I will give the WWE credit on two things. This is a SOLID card for WrestleMania, with little to no filler matches. And two, none of these matches, except for Hart over McMahon, are easy to call. They could all go either way. If I had $80 to blow I would order this damned thing, but alas, I have bills to pay!

    No doubt HBK is losing.

Cena will beat Batista...They are setting it up as a Cena can't beat me thing...and then he will..Cena always wins the title at Mania.

Edge will win....Your scenario for MiTB is very possible...They are doing a MiTB ppv this year, so the thought is that they want that title shot out of the way before hand.

    Hart definitely wins.

I agree, Micheals is going to retire and do a reality show.

No, I did not watch it. Had my Fantasy Baseball draft last night.

I really sucked on those predictions, huh?

From the reports, sounds like Taker/Michaels kicked ass and the rest of the card was just so-so.

After ordering in I think I spent 54.99 somewhat wisely.

Undertaker vs. HBK was by far the best match and fitting it closed the show. Seeing Undertaker and HBK shake hands and then hugged after the match surely seems like we seen Shawn last match.

MITB was a huge shocker who would have guessed the All American American. Evan Bourne doing Air Bourne from the ladder was nice.

Nice to finally see the Hart Dynasty and Bret interact.

Big Show/Miz just took the Tag Titles....interesting. Not sure what to think, but I like it. Tons of ways this can go Re: HBK/HHH.

Yea, that has been the rumored match for a while.

The only thing is, what are they going to do with Taker at this point?

If Cena is going to face Batista and HBK faces HHH, who faces Taker?

I guess I can see a scenario where HBK costs Taker the title in 2 weeks and that cause Taker to want to fight him....Makes sense since they want to give Taker time off after Mania, so they can do that without him losing at Mania.
