Tiger back for the Masters!!!!
Hell yea! I am surprised he isn't playing in a warm up tourney first but I am really glad he is coming back.
I knew he would be back for the Masters but I am surprised he isn't at least playing in the Tavistock Cup first.

I think those thinking he is just going to come in and win a major after not having played since last year are a little out of touch. Hell he hasn't even won a major since the 2008 US Open at Torrey Pines. No way he wins the Masters with all of the turmoil that he is going through.
Obviously Tiger is still Tiger and can win any tournament at any time but he isn't superhuman and isn't as dominating as he used to be. Now he is still the best golfer in the world and capable of winning but the field of youngsters is starting to catch up to him.

As I said, if he is able to practice and play like he always has, he will win the US and British Opens.
So, the question is, can he be ready for the Masters and can he win it?
I don't like his odds but if anyone could do it, its him.
If he wins the Masters, I am going to say he wins the grand slam...No way he is winning the first 3 majors and then losing the pGA championship.
So, it comes back to him being able to practice and play on a regular basis.

I agree that if he wins the Masters after not playing for so long, things are looking pretty good for him. But no way can you bank on winning the British, even if you practice and play the lead-in tournaments.

You are greatly overestimating his ability and underestimating the field. He has never won a grand slam before, in fact it hasn't been done since Bobby Jones in 1930 (And please don't give me the Tiger Slam crap!) and he is coming off the biggest scandal and shock to his personal life ever. Not to mention he is getting older and the field of golfers in today's game rivals if not exceeds the golden era of the late 70-80's when the likes of Nichlaus, Watson, Player, Trevino, Balesteros, Faldo etc. were playing. It is so tough to win a major and damn near impossible to win 4 in the same year when 100% mentally and physically, which Tiger can't possibly be currently!
