    Apple Tv

I see that Boxee has paired with AppleTv to bring the MLB.Tv to its platform. I am strongly considering getting AppleTv, but was wondering if anyone could offer some reviews on it.

    Thanks in advance.

I have never used Apple TV, but there is an article in Huffington Post that you may want to read: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/0..._n_503785.html

Changes are definitely afoot in WebTV. I'm not sure if now isn't a little early to get in since I would expect major changes over the next 6-18 months.

It's good. I've never had any issues with it (Comcast internet). We watch a lot of movies on Amazon and Netflix with it as well. Not a bad little box.

I am very annoyed my PS3 can't stream MLB.TV. Something about Flash/Silverlight support. Why anyone uses proprietary formats is beyond me.

Now I have to buy an expensive Mac display port to HDMI adapter cable then plug my laptop into my TV.

FWIW, it appears that you can stream it to the PS3...
Yes. You can find the mms:// feed with URL Snooper. Then you can stream it with TVersity. I tried everything and this works. But you have to be quick, the mms address goes dead after 1 minute. So you have to get it streaming to the PS3 within that time. Sometimes it takes a couple of tries.

By expensive I guess you mean under $5 because that's what it costs. :-)

and though snooping the actual address is great, the performace of it is almost unwatchable through the ps3 (it's very choppy, or at least it was last year).

I currently use an adapter from my macbook, and its better than adequate. I am just looking for a reason to buy something new, without being yelled at ;-)

I would say wait on the AppleTV and get a Boxee Box when it comes out. Much better hardware.
