Excellent movie, and I think that was John Cusack's first starring role. Rob Reiner was on a real hot streak with This is Spinal Tap, The Sure Thing, Stand By Me, The Princesss Bride, When Harry Met Sally, Misery and A Few Good Men all in succession. The first five of those were '80's movies.

Yeah, if Reiner were a baseball player, we'd be puzzling over his career. Seven very good to classic movies right out of the gate, followed by North, and then nothing decent since. He's sort of like Ralph Kiner, although Kiner at least had injuries to blame.
