Mark Patrick out at XM

There was some new guy on this morning for the Baseball morning show, and I got curious. Found some rumors online, then emailed the man himself. He confirmed that this past Friday was his last day.

A real shame. Quality broadcaster. And half the reason I listen to XM.

I'm with you Drek, I liked Mark & Buck as well. Looks like Holden Kushner & Bill Ripken become the permanent hosts starting Wednesday. XM also fired Ronnie Lane & Chuck Wilson from 175.

Yes, "The Beat" returns December 1st with Steiner. I love that guy.

With the "merger" (Sirius takeover), a lot of old school XM'ers were let go. Home Plate got rid of Mark Soren (Patrick), Ronnie Lane, and Chuck Wison. Buck is still under contract but has an undefined role right now, so we'll see.

That is upsetting. That is all I listen to when I have XM on. I haven't listened to XM in like 2 months and this is what happens. I don't know what the deal was, but I really liked night train. I thought that program was pretty cool where you could listen in on the games.

And the morning show was a lot of fun to listen to and very informative. Like Old School baseball talk. I am going to miss it.

Night Train wasn't my favorite, but I am sad to see him go. He kept things informal though I always felt I knew more than he did. Plus he's a Cardinals fan, which is almost unbearable for a Cubs fan to have to sit through. I'm sure the show will remain the same as far as the live listen ins, it'll just be Joe Castellano hosting next year I'm sure.

Im with you on the morning show, rumor has it that Mark will end up somewhere on the Baseball Network doing some TV soon. I'll miss Mark & Buck together quite a bit.

The new morning show stinks. I like Billy Ripken, but this guy that's with him tries too hard to be funny and just ends up making corny jokes.

Good news about Mark being on on the tele, what I don't like about all of this is Holden Kushner. Man I CANNOT stand that guy he is such a db**. I hope they look into finding someone else to take his spot and he is temporary. The Show still the same?
