  1. If you trust our scouting, I'd expect Kjerstad to be the rightfielder by 2023. Mountcastle at first makes sense based on my initial impressions of him in left after watching every game. He might correct taking poor angles to the ball and his speed is better than average at least now, but possiby gain 10-15 lbs of muscle nd get slower quickly ), but his arm will always be weak. He would make an athletic first baseman. I would hope that long term our outfield will be Diaz in left, Hays in center and Kjerstad in right. Santander either traded or DH. Mancini is too expensive for a DH. Ste
  2. It might make sense for our 3rd, 4th and 5th starters to be three of Baumann, Kremer, Akin or Loether. With no minor league season, I'd argue that it may be worse for the team for these pitchers to lose a year of development time than for the team to lose a year of service time. By pitching every 5 days, three of our better mature pitchers can get 12-13 starts before hopefully fall league.
  3. I'll go with Dean Kremer. He isn't likely to be subject to service time manipulation, so he has as good a shot as anyone to pitch every 5 days. Why waste a year of development. He reminds me of Mike Mussina in alot of ways, especially in terms of intelligence and pitch sequencing. I think he's vastly underrated, and will win a stating job.
  4. I'm going out on a limb and predict that Kremer outperforms all pitching prospects except Hall and Rodriguez.
  5. I don't want to see any more threads about heart or lack thereof for the rest of the year.
  6. I'd rather sign Jaime Garcia and trade Trumbo plusa low level prospect for Jason Hammel.
  7. How about Trumbo for Jason Hammel. K.C. could use a first baseman when Hosmer likely signs elsewhere in free agency. They could also use him to platoon with Brandon Moss as a part-time DH or right fielder. Hammel is still throwing 92-93, is only 34 and is a bounceback candidate. At worst he gives you 180 innings of 5 era for 11 million as a 5th starter.. We might have to kick in 5-6 million due to Trumbo's second year. Sign Garcia 3 yrs, 42m and Chatwood 3 yrs, 36 m. Trade Britton to Houston for Brad Peacock (arb. eligible, 3 yrs of control surprisingly) and Hector Perez
  8. Time to circle back to Andre Ethier. Can bat leadoff, virtually the same OB% as Fowler, and could probably be had for a few C prospects. The question is how much will the Dodgers kick in.
  9. Trade Z. Britton & M. Wright for Y. Puig Trade M. Gonzalez and C. Walker for Pedro Alvarez Resign Chen for 4 yrs. 64M Sign J. Zimmermann for 5 yrs. 110 M Sign D.
